Richard – Lead Engineer

Richard is the founder and driving force behind MS Cookers and Boilers Ltd. With over two decades of hands-on experience in the heating and plumbing industry, he brings a wealth of technical expertise and a deep commitment to his customer care. As a fully Gas Safe and OFTEC-registered engineer, Richard is our expert. His specialist knowledge ranges from oil boilers, heat pumps and low temperature heating right through to AGA servicing, repairs, and installations Richard is known for his meticulous attention to detail and honest, straightforward advice. He’s built MS Cookers and Boilers on a foundation of professionalism, reliability, and genuine pride in doing a job well.
Richard is also passionate about the future of the heating industry. He recently completed industry-recognised qualifications in heat pump installation and is dedicated to helping customers make energy-efficient, environmentally responsible choices for their homes. Whether he’s installing a new low temperature heating system, servicing a heritage Aga cooker, or supporting customers through urgent boiler breakdowns, Richard is passionate about delivering high-quality work with a friendly, personal touch.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, taking on incredible running challenges and keeping up with the latest developments in sustainable heating solutions. If you really want to get him talking though ask him about low temperature heating systems.

Connie – Operations Manager

Connie is the organisational heart of MS Cookers and Boilers, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. From managing customer call-outs and scheduling engineers to overseeing the website, marketing, and accounts, she keeps every part of the business ticking with efficiency and care. Before joining MS Cookers and Boilers, Connie spent 10 years as a dedicated teacher—bringing with her exceptional communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a calm, can-do attitude. Her background in education helps her create clear, helpful content for customers and ensures every interaction with MS Cookers and Boilers is professional, friendly, and well-organised.

Connie is passionate about delivering a customer experience that feels honest, supportive, and stress-free. Outside of work, Connie loves spending time with her family, exploring the countryside, and getting stuck into a good book with a strong cup of coffee.

Chris – Heating Engineer

With over 20 years of hands-on experience, Chris is one of the most trusted members of the MS Cookers and Boilers team. As a fully qualified plumbing and heating engineer, Chris brings expert knowledge to every job — from new boiler installations to oil heating system repairs and everything in between. Known for his attention to detail and friendly, no-nonsense approach, Chris has built a strong reputation with customers across Huddersfield, Halifax, and Oldham. Whether he’s installing a full central heating system or diagnosing a tricky fault, you can count on Chris for high-quality workmanship and honest advice.
Outside of work Chris is a keen runner, having recently completed the TCS London Marathon, a number of ultra marathons and local races. He can often be found on the hills and fells with his two dogs and his partner or running solo.

Ben – Apprentice Heating Engineer

Ben is currently working towards his Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating at Kirklees College. As an apprentice, he’s gaining valuable hands-on experience alongside our engineers and developing the practical skills and knowledge that will shape his future in the industry. Ben is enthusiastic, hard-working, and always keen to learn—qualities that make him a great fit for the team and a hit with customers.

Outside of work and college, Ben is a keen cricketer and enjoys spending his weekends on the pitch. He brings the same team spirit, focus, and dedication to his apprenticeship as he does to his game, and we’re proud to support his journey into a rewarding career in heating and plumbing.
